I headed up to Slieve Croob with an old friend and we set about getting an evening shot with the Mournes nestled in the background of the shot. It was a very hazy evening and visibility was poor but I managed to blend three exposures together to get the beautiful cloud detail against the rugged landscape.
I recently took a trip to Carlingford and whilst there I went on a hike to the peak overlooking Carlingford for a panoramic shot. I finally got a clear day for the shot so I headed up early to catch the midday sun on the sleepy little town. Carlingford is a beautiful little stopover for [...]
I headed out this evening with a good friend of mine Kieran McAlinden from Creative Juices to get a shot of the whisping cloud patterns that had formed in the sky late into the evening.
After getting involved with Belfast4Haiti Marty and I wanted to do something extra to raise awareness in our own social and business circles to hopefully get people talking about the Haiti and Chile disaster. We settled on heading in a direction that would take us out of our comfort zones and encourage others to do [...]
Frozen, originally uploaded by Red Sky Photography. In the chilling conditions over here I took a trip down to Lough Neagh and was surprised to see the shores frozen solid. I was interested in knowing just how solid the ice was and like any curious cat I thought about venturing out a few steps but [...]
The Road, originally uploaded by Red Sky Photography. Went to see The Road tonight with Viggo Mortensen and Charlise Theron. This scene shot a few nights ago reminded me of it. It’s like a fire in the distance. Enjoy
Snow Tracks, originally uploaded by Red Sky Photography. A night exposure of a local railway track close to home. A van came down the road at the end of a long exposure which threatened to ruin a 40min exposure but I shut off quick enough and it actually helped expose the signpost.
Night Ship, originally uploaded by Red Sky Photography. I caught this boat docked late one night. I loved the light patterns and ominous sky.
Last of the Mohicans, originally uploaded by Red Sky Photography. An old classic shot from the archives. Spotted this little flower on a tree in the botanical gardens and had to snap it. Probably the most bizarre little Mohican I have ever seen.
Return to Corbet Lough, originally uploaded by Red Sky Photography. Went back to shoot Corbet Lough. This was taken at 7:45pm. I dodged a little light back into the boat and the jetty.
